WordPress Tip#4
What the Heck Is A “Plugin”?

Along with Widgets, Plugins are among the most powerful tools in WordPress.  The Plugin menu on left margin of the Dashboard is quite good at helping you search for Plugin titles, then install, then activate.  The trick is to know which ones you want.  I like HeadSpace2, which lets you easily select page Theme (when you click “advanced”) as well as setting metatags, which may be useful for getting your site found by search engine robots from Google and Yahoo. Another good Plugin is AddtoAny, which lets you add buttons to share a Post or Page on Twitter, Facebook, etc. or E-mail.  Not that any of those things have happened to my site yet.  Sigh.

What a great post. I wish someone gave me this advice when I started working in WordPress. I hope your post saves other designers some of the same frustrations I faced early on.
